From short film to
transmedia universe.

Tainted began as a short film. It is now expanding into a Graphic Novel, and eventually a broader IP across multiple formats. Each stage of this project exists to demonstrate what is possible when creative ambition meets the right technology.

Tainted:
the short film.

Tainted was made using Virtual Production: real-time LED volume technology, the same pipeline used on major productions, applied to an original story by a small independent team.

Virtual Production was the technology that made Tainted possible, and it is the reason the production quality is what it is.

The film has screened at festivals across three continents, won three awards, and earned nine official laurels.

Embracing a creative AI workflow.

Tainted was not made with AI. But building what comes next requires it. The Graphic Novel, the animation pipeline, the character engine: these are all being built on AI infrastructure developed in-house by Bright Voxel. Not as a shortcut, but as the only way to produce at the scale this universe demands without a studio behind it.

The Graphic Novel is the next chapter of the Tainted universe, built on AI infrastructure that Bright Voxel is developing in-house.

The prototype phase is done. What came out of it was a clearer picture of what the transmedia vision actually requires: not a collection of third-party tools configured together, but a production pipeline we own and can build on.

The ambition is a graphic novel series that expands the story, the characters, and the world of Tainted. Produced at a scale that would otherwise require a significantly larger team and budget.
